So, you want to know where you are going to be learning to kite.

 

321 Kiteboarding is located in Central Florida  and has some of the best spots to learn anywhere.  We have wave riding for beginners and more experienced riders.  If you are just getting started or want to ride the flats, Brevard County has plenty of shallow flat water on the Intercoastal Waterway (Indian River)  and Banana River lagoon(home of "the slick").   These are Brackish watereways (mix of salt and fresh water)  and are only waist deep with a soft bottom (sand/grass).

We usually meet in Cocoa Beach, Titusville, or Melbourne for lessons.  Your instructor will give you directions.

We are only 30-45 minutes from Orlando International Airport (MCO).  There are plenty of accomodaions in Cocoa Beach.

Fall through spring are probably our windiest months.  When weekly fronts move in we have steady winds 20-30 MPH.

Summer we have our daily seabreeze (thermals).  With the barrier island surounded by water the winds pick up on our 2 rivers(indian river and banana river) almost every day like clockwork.  The ocean breeze is lighter, but as it reaches the intercoastal the winds pick up in strength.  On average 10-18MPH

If there is no wind there is no need to worry.  There is a cable park only 30 minutes away or we can help you fine tune those board skills from a PWC's.  Or grab a surfboard and head to the beach.

Weather

Well, this is Sunny Florida!  It rarely feels like it rains here.  Our storms come in fast and heavy.  So usually if it rains, it is sunny 30 minutes later.
